Optogait acquires numerical parameters in real-time for gait, running, stability, agility and jump tests that can be viewed immediately. 

The easy to read report contains all data, and asymmetries between the two legs are highlighted instantly.

Optogait not only detects the numerical data, but also, via small cameras, which can be freely positioned, it allows the user to acquire images of carried out tests, synchronizing them perfectly with detected events. 
Without the need for any further synchronization between hardware and cameras, the numerous benefits of cross verification of data and images can be fully used. A more detailed video analysis can be had by further utilizing the dedicated utility (angle, distance calculus, graphic tools, etc.).
A 30 second gait analysis provides insight into asymmetry between left and right sides.  In the Functional Movement Screens, we are looking for movement quality not quantity.  The pattern with the greatest limitation or most significant asymmetry encapsulates the problem.  It references the weakest link.  If the movement is dysfunctional, all things built on that dysfunction might be flawed, compromised or predisposed to injury risk.

Asymmetry can predict injury risk, identify mobility and stability issues, uncovers pain on the pattern of dysfunction and pinpoints imbalances in related musculature.  It becomes a biomarker to base corrective exercise programs, physical therapy intervention or proper realignment considerations.  Considerable information can jump out at you by viewing the report and from there, we can consult for ways to help you BECOME BETTER.
